Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but its in association with booking BA flights!!

I've booked a few flights upto ABZ in the next 6 weeks including car. It says Exec members can get a 2nd driver insured for free. I would like to take advantage of this however Mrs ML will not be arriving until the day after i arrive. As such will it still be possible to put her on the insurance even though she wont be present when i collect the car?

Thanks

MINNEAPOLIS — Delta Air Lines may have charged some frequent fliers higher fares than other customers for almost three weeks because of a computer glitch.

The airline said Wednesday that it fixed the problem where different prices were offered to passengers logged into their frequent flier accounts. Delta spokesman Paul Skrbec said fares were higher for some passengers, but lower for others.

Delta is unsure how many people were affected, but Skrbec offered an apology to any passengers who may have been inconvenienced.

The problem was first reported by WCCO Tuesday night. The Minneapolis TV station reported on two local executives at a security company who noticed a discrepancy when recently booking tickets on the same flight. Curious, they then tried other searches. For one trip to Los Angeles, coach tickets were $124 more expensive when logged in to Delta's SkyMiles program.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47450442.../#.T7QQFVL4I68

I like this quote especially:

Airlines have long internally discussed charging more to frequent fliers with a willingness to pay, but none have put it into practice, said airline consultant Robert Mann.

...guess until now

For frequent flyers that only check the DL website, why not jack the price up to maximize revenue?

I was really shocked by what happened to me at security check last Sunday, terminal 4, in the fast track lane.

I was asked to remove some of my shampoo bottle/mouthwash/shower gel before X ray inspection (all of them were less than 100ml, but I had in two seperate plastic bags). I asked to see these cosmetics put in a bin (as they were new), which was accepted by the member of staff.

But this member of staff (who was before x ray inspection) then asked his colleague after x ray inspection to control my bag.
This inspection took a long time to begin.

As I was close to miss my flight, I asked if someone could inspect my bag, which was finally accepted by a manager after he checked my departure time on the screen.

I was moved to another inspection lane. Inspection was made by another member of staff (after some additional minutes to wait, as the manager had to ask again the lady to start inspection, who for some reason did not want to do it).

Surprinsingly, the second bag of cosmetics which was put in the bin was back in the tray

Then my bag was inspected. I was asked to put my things back into my bag, and the lady moved to another place.

I then ran to the gate.
Arrived in Paris, I can see now that many things are missing: a brand new camera, cables, etc.

I can perfectly understand that security is an important matter. But in this case, I really have the feeling that thorough inspection has been done only because I asked to see my cosmetics destroyed.

This attitude generates useless stress to passengers, and I now have no camera (with pictures of my last trips), among other things, and I am very sad about it.

I am going on a Panama Canal cruise in the fall and would like to book my flights using my Aeroplan points. I need to fly out YYZ-SAN, and then return MIA-YYZ.

The Aeroplan website says that this is an invalid itinerary. Isn't this considered an open jaw ticket? Or am I not understanding this concept?

Any assistance in clarifying this would be most appreciated - I haven't called them to discuss by phone, my first reaction was to check here :) Thanks!

Well I have just booked my flight to my nephew's wedding in Belfast in September - so i tried booking it with BMI....

When I plugged in the destination - it bounced me over to ba.com telling me that the flight would be run by BA.... so carried on and booked everything - but when I went to try and choose my seats - I find that that part of MMB doesn't seem to be on offer just yet - there is no view/change seat option... and more worryingly... it doesn't mention lounge access (I'm a BA silver) - and informs me that food and beverages need to be paid for.....

So is it BA or not BA? - hopefully in the next 4 months they will be able to make their mind up and offer full BA domestic service!

I am a newbie to Mileage Plus program and I didn't find a newbie's lounge thread here. So I am starting a new thread to ask a probably dumb question.

I booked a round trick award ticket for my mom from Beijing (PEK) to Houston (IAH). It was booked in I class (Business class in 3 cabin/First class in 2 cabin) and I have the confirmation email from back in March. I just received an email from United informing me they made a change to the second leg of the inbound trip (IAD - IAH). And they changed it to X class (Economy). I am not happy about this change, because I booked it in Saver Business Award using 120,000 miles. Is there anything I can do at this point to change it back to Business class?

Thanks in advance and I really appreciate your help.

Update: I forgot to mention they didn't just change the class. They changed the flight from UA64222 (SKYWEST AIRLINES doing business as UNITED EXPRESS) to UA4530 (ExpressJet Airlines Inc. dba United Express). The original aircraft is a CRJ-700, which has business class cabin. The one they changed to is an Embraer RJ145, which I don't think they have business class cabin...
